Default 1972 Front Clip Assemble

Hello and happy independence day.
I'm going to put back / glue the front clip to the body but I want to know if the bumper center bracket support the fiberglass in any way.
Does the fiberglass laid on the bracket end top?
In the AIM I don't see any connection between the bumper center bracket to the fiberglass, only the side horns support the front clip.

No, that bracket doesn't support the nose, it ends up in the cutout of the metal support at the front edge. Before you glue make sure all the brackets can be adjusted to fit the nose & mount the bumper to make it fits the way you want.

There is a nose support brace that mounts between the radiator support & the nose as well.

Are your inner fenders already installed?Make sure of your hood heigth before you do any gluing. If the hood is alittle low...mot good, but can shim up,but you can't shim down.Chech,re-check,and re-check again before you start gluing anything in place.I do these all the time by myself,so it can be done, but not a easy task without a extra set of hands.
Good luck, and looking forward to seeing the end result!

Jim
Jim is correct, the center support rod does impact the nose height.

IMO you should have everything bolted up front to ensure a true alignment to the doors, hood, firewall, wipedoor ...etc. You don't want to find out your bumperettes don't fit AFTER glueing the clip. I'm at that point now, what a pain. As mentioned, measure, align, align again and again until there's no doubt that it's going to look good.

Thanks for the replays
I have the center support rod & I will connect it also, I work with a body shop man that did my 68 and now he work with me on the 72.
We had a problem with the driver door, so we had to take the skin off again but we fix the problem and this Friday we will glue the skin again.
After that we will connect the front clip at the front and check again the lines to the doors, wiperdoor and the front bumper & bumperettes.
I didn't disassemble the inner fenders so the hood seat very nice (height & the lines around it)
