OT: Was in Bangkok on R&R in 1969, stayed at the Liberty Hotel for $5 a night. Asides from the usual "fun" you could have there, the best was going to a theater downtown to see Bullit with Steve McQueen and the car chase between the Charger and Mustang in San Francisco.
The theater rivaled anything in New York City at the time. Waiters serving Sing Hai (sp?) beer and chicken dinners, the Thai guys going nuts during the car chase. What a gas! It was a very short weekend and then had to go back to Saigon.
Thanks guys........The video was put together by my good friend George that built the black mustang in the last photo. There are a lot of great Thai friends that love American mussel cars here and George is instrumental in organizing events that we can all get together and enjoy our selfs, But the folks back in the USA have the best gatherings that I really miss.
That was cool Dean. Nicely done. I should look you up on my next visit to Bangkok. Until then here is my 77 red showing off the side pipe covers...people love them, I would not live without them.
Happy 4th of July.
