Default ok...Here comes the missing pieces..

Couple years ago I took apart my 82 for restoring...then I moved. Everything has gotten stored in totes and boxes. Im putting it back together..piece by piece...So far, I have one piece I cant find anywhere. Its the transmission shift cable bracket. Will the shift bracket work from another year, or any other car with a 700r4 work? Anyone have one lying around??

Anyone have an actual picture of this bracket and what it looks like. Maybe that would help me find it, or a replacement.

thanks

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) will show the bracket, how it installs, and lists the original GM part number. You might still be able to find one.

Good luck.

Yea the manual has somewhat a pic...but not a real good picture. If I could find one someone has, and able to get some measurements Ide cut out /fabbed up one that would work.

Get the original part number out of the AIM; call you Chevrolet dealer parts department, and see if they can get one.
