Problems with directionals
This may be something that i'll have to dig into to find, but I thought i'd throw this out there to see if anyone had any ideas. OK, so, without the lights on, if i put on the left blinker, the "bright" indicator flashes. (instead of the directional indicator) Also when you go up front, the marker+directional lights on the drivers side are dimmer than the passenger side, at all times. When you flip the lights on, the "bright" indicator works for high beams and low beams, but still flashes whenever the blinker is put on. Any ideas out there?

The difference in brightness from one side to the other suggests a grounding problem. Most of the ground connections get pretty corroded after 30+ years, so cleaning all of the ground connections that you can find would be a good start. If you painted any parts and reconnected ground wires make sure there is an area of bare metal under the connector. The screw isn't usually enough.
