I have a 1969 corvette that was owned by a Robert Walker in 1972. He lived in Mesa (Williams Air Force Base PO box) Arizona. The lein holder was WAFB Credit Union. It was paid off in 1975. Are there any old timers from that area that could provide some insight? I am guessing that the base was closed at that time and population was low. Bottom line: Where's Robert Walker today?
Keep searching the internet. I did for 5 years and finally spoke to the 51 year old son of my 69's original owner. I only had first and middle initials to go with a very common last name, as well as a street address in a small California town. Ended up being a bar and found his full name, as well as many other names, on an old California liquor license. His first comment to me was "so you own the banana now?"
Try the local VFW, American Legion, Air Force organizations. Service people are always trying to locate each other after many years. At least his name isn't Johnny Walker!
I only have his first and last name so far, and the notary's name. I also have the original title number for Arizona (I think).I suspect he was transferred to Alaska in the mid '70s. Some how the car traveled from Mesa to the Fairbanks area in that time frame. I will keep digging!
