I will be replacing my windshield soon. The vendor offers correct logo and date code for an additional fee. Does this make much difference to anybody? Matching numbers I can understand. Wonder how big an infraction it may be to NCRS, not having a correct logo and date on the windshield? Assume rather minor..
Not only is a correct logo and date a big deal, but be sure it is stamped from correct side (inside/outside) of the car.
Matching numbers is very important, but people notice incorrect touches like dated parts, wrong rockers, wrong design headrests, incorrect/missing smog, etc all the time.
If you cared enough to ask the question, the answer is yes, it matters.

Just to let you know what the Judging Manual says for a 78:
Deduct 4 points for LOF safety flo-lite, tinted windshield dated outside the 12 month range
Deduct 13 points for other brand replacement style
You guys haven't looked at the latest edition of the judging manual just released. There's a new category for minor infractions. The chief judge makes an announcement over the PA system stating the name of the offender, the nature of the offence and then a series of rather improper references to the parents of the offender. Something like a your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries.
