LT-1 question on collectibility?

had many collectibles back in the day but we called them kick-*** drivers
while in college: 70ls5 coupe with air, 4speed, stereo radio etc., 70 442 W-30 with the w-27 alum rear option, 4speed and 4.33 gears
kicked alot of vette butt with that one, 67 coupe, side pipes, 4 speed, 427/435 that I hot-rodded around the streets of Little Rock, Ark, 67 firebird 400 with auto and air
still a fast car I totally enjoyed, 68 olds W-31 equiptment with 4-speed, rare in that it was in a cutlass supreme vs all I ever saw were in the F-85 or cutlass, really loved that car- those were the days, 2-3k or less for a car that ran like a bat outta hell...

yeah, but now I couldn't even buy 1 of those since the prices are what they are it was nice though to be able to experience it back in the day, in fact I have driven virtually every muscle car made in the 60s as it was easy and common to go take test drives from a dealer or person, that includes hemis, vettes etc. many car guys in my age group probably experienced the same thrill. Of course my 03 will kick *** on all those cars in stock trim and that is with a/c blowing and radio blasting....but not half the fun the future belongs to the young and always has

You're absolutely correct my friend. 
My C6Z is an incredible car, but the feel, the sound, the smell and aura of the old cars really stir my shorts!
