Default Front Coil Springs

I have two sets of coil springs for the front suspension. One set is for a 68 small block coupe. The other set is for a 69 big block coupe. My problem is that I do not know which set is which. And I want to put the small block springs on my car. Is there a way to tell the differrence? Such as diameter of the coil. Or thickness of the metal coil? Or even the height of the spring?

I would not want to put the big block springs on my car that will have a small block in it. This would probably raise the front of the car by a couple of inches and make it look wierd. Any ideas?

The wire diameter should be different between the two. The big block springs will have a higher spring rate so the wire diameter should be greater than the small block units.

you might want to reconsider which springs to use. the big block springs will actually lower the front of your car. they are shorter and stiffer.
