So I just got my new Vette! And I drove it home no problem. But I went to take it out again and the alarm went off and wouldn't stop until I disconnected the battery. Any help please?
I believe it operates the same as my (late build) '77.
Put the key in the door and turn turn the key "counter clockwise" then back to center to turn the alarm off. (and of course, "clockwise" and back to center to turn back on)
Of course, it is possible the switch in the door is bad, or going bad. If the alarm will not turn off with the key, you can open the hood, and reach inside the drivers side fender just behind the emblem, and unhook the wire to the alarm horn. (put some tape over the end to prevent the wire touching anything until you can get a new switch) A replacement switch is available from most Corvette parts suppliers.
