I'm old school, I like to have them out. I also am not a fan of those 22-24" rims that fit the whole wheel well. I like to see some space between the tire and body. That's just my opion.
Depends on which tire,I think the BF Goodrich has the best looking white letters followed by the Firestone Firehawks. No Goodrich tires were available here so I went with the Firehawks.I didn't like the looks of the Firehawks at first but after they were on my vette I was happy! These tires are performing beyond my expectations. The old school look with the letters out catches the eye rather nicely I think. My chosen sneakers have no white letters. I put wheels on the car today for the first time since the PO moved it last (9 years ago). They look excellent against the gray primer and on the AR Vectors. I think they'll look even better when the maroon paint goes on this fall.
I'm running the stock wheels. the rear tires are 235 70 15 and the fronts i think are 225 60 15? not sure on the fronts. I'm going to buy new tires for it. probably bf goodrich radial t/a, anyone have experience? they have awesome white letter detail since im going to run the tires that way
