Trying to trace all the vac lines on my '72 a/c system, best we could do w/o a shop manual was the attached jpg diagram. If anyone can offer some help or direction, TIA! I also would like comments on the Detroit Iron 1972 Shop Manual on disk. I got on from them for my '66 Grand Prix and was more than a little disappointed, so I 'm hesitant to order one.
I colored (with colored pencils) all of the lines/hoses on my aim page the correct hose stripe color. It helps tracing and verifying hose routing.
I'm retired so it gave me something to do!
Man, that looks sooo much better than when I colored in my AIM. It's great that you labeled the correct "default" positions of the components too. I had the hardest time deducing from the AIM and owner's manual what happened to each when vacuum was applied (opened it or closed it).
Any chance you're able to do that with a '69L?
As usual, thanks for the awesome (and free) technical help.
That'd be awesome. I'm redoing my interior this winter and would like to get the A/C and heat working again. All of the lines are either missing or chewed by mice.
Your help on this site has helped me a ton and I'm sure has been invaluable to others as well.
Some from other Aim's.. some from the old parts books.. just depends! I have almost every GM publication from 1958-1988 and most are scanned in my system now..
Here's one I just did for the under dash.. not as nice as the others but it makes due.
I had to ad in the under fender and the right hand cowl actuators. 1 more.. the main one and I'll have 1969 and 1970 done!
