Here is what I had, A 1970 Torino GT Convertable. I sold it about 5 years ago (and regretted it ever since) It has a nice big rear seat. Electric top and plenty of power. I think these are one of the most overlooked cars out there.

I would trade one Vette for this. between the Vettes and the elcamino I have to leave the kids at home when I go out driving. On second thought that's why I bought the Vette, for 'me time'.

It took me until I was almost 50 to get the first one. There is plenty of eye candy out there but the C3 Vettes are the ones for me

That's why you need to have multiple cars. To fill the different needs in your life. I'm sure others are like me, I have several options to take out and enjoy depending on the need.

That's why I have both... I bought the Convertible 22 years ago when nobody wanted them, now I can't drive it anywhere without someone asking if I want to sell it.

After reading your post I tried that logic with my wife about woman. A red head for Friday nights, a blond for Saturday afternoons.

I waited till the week after my 51st b-day to get my first Vette. Went looking at new trucks and just couldn't stomach yet another supercab truck. Looked at every '70 to '75 in a 150 mile radious. Would I trade my 'Vete? #@$%^& NO! Well maybe for a split window........

to 81pilot, I have a 71 Torino convertible with a 429 Cobra Jet -extremely rare car with complete documentation, 1 of only 30 big blocks built that I offered to trade for a 69 427 conv here on the forum. No takers so the car will be going to one of the major auctions this year
