steering column

Default steering column
I had to collapse my steering column to get the rag joint out. I think I read somewhere that I shouldn't do that. Did I destroy it and how do I pull the shaft back out?

Vise grips and a hammer. The plastic "shear pins" did their job and sheared when the column collapsed. can't replace the pins, but you can drive the inner shaft back into position
