Has anyone else on this forum used this primer and the black topcoat which goes with it? I first learned of this at Carlisle, early 90's. Top coat seems very durable.
Used this on the underside of my rocker channels when the body was off and a few other areas as well. Thinking about using some on the #2 mounts and other parts of the birdcage which have some surface rust.
I don't recall anyone mentioning using that product. POR-15 is the most popular rust preventative. I used RustBullet because I think it is as effective as POR and much easier to use. RB can be topcoated with any type of paint.

As I mentioned in the first post. I became aware of it when visiting Carlisle back in the early 90's. The primer with aluminum and sealer can be painted over. Think they give some direction on this at the web site. The vendor claims it's used on bridges. Also some claims of standing up to environments far more severe than I'd ever subject my car to. I was curious as to whether anyone has used this and has comment about this product vs POR-15. I am thinking about using some of this on the interior side of my birdcage and #2 mount area while I have the interior out. Thought I'd ask before ordering another can.
Only complaint I've heard about POR-15 is it cannot be painted over or is difficult to? I can paint over this product easily if I want to match original factory colors.
My local shop said they've had trouble getting POR-15 to stick on smooth, unrusted steel.
