My 80 was car #99. Car #100 on this ticket was my friend's C6. Kind of hard to read but that was 13.823@103.95mph. Not disappointing. I did beat a 4.slow with juice which pissed the kid off royally. He was talking crap about how he was going to get his "corvette killer badge" and then ran a 14.8
ya that RT was awful, but this was the first drag pull for the car and for myself haha.
Next i want to break into the 12s (i think this is called mopowa syndrome), thinking slightly lower rear end, better tires, and most of all practice. Good thing practice is fun
(those are not the tires i had on it for the drags)

4.0 Liter Mustangs. This kid has a bunch of mods on it, the exhaust was loud, it has N2O (a 75 shot, which is not enough to really feel) and a "cold (hot) air intake" Out of the box those things typically run mid 15s if memory serves, so he did shave a second off his ET, but he was convinced he was going to break into the low 13s, high 12s.
It was funny because his excuse was "it was a hot day, so the intake charge was too hot, i would have beat you if it was cooler"
What combo are you running? Engine HP/TQ Tranny, torque converter, rear gears?
Stock Lower end on the engine. Brodix IK180 heads, i forget the cam i put in it off the top of my head, will have to look at the card in my toolbox. The intake is the Edelbrock C26 Dual quad. Corvette Central dual exhaust. I dont know what i am making for power. Stock TH350c with a shift kit from transgo. Stock Torque converter. and 3.55 gears in the rear.
My Next big mod will be to replace the TH350c with something more modern, with overdrive and a good TC

Funny how "Mustanger's" always feel the "need" to beat a Corvette, isn't it? I believe that even Carroll Shelby has made references to one model or another that's going to be a "Corvette Killer/Beater"...guess he knew which was better and what he had to try to live up to also. Pretty dumb statement coming from him.
I have a friend with an '07 Shelby...he couldn't wait to tell me how he would blow the doors off of my '79. I laughed and asked him how proud that would make him to beat a scrawny little 225 hp Corvette. He said it "didn't matter, it's still a Corvette and I'd beat it".
