Default solenoid wiring help

Is the "S" start terminal on the solenoid connected to the thinner or thicker of the two wires that are not connected to the battery or motor voltage lug (the two large studs)

Guess who didn't pay attention....

On my 74 BB there's a thin wire and a thicker, white with red tracer. I'm not sure which goes to the switch terminal....

Im not WITH stupid, I am stupid, for not paying attention

The S terminal gets the heavier purple wire.

rig up a test light on one of the wires with it disconnected and hit the key, the one that lights up with the key is the S wire

One should go to the switch (purple) and the other should go to the + side of the ign coil (yellow). As Roger said "The S terminal gets the heavier purple wire" the other one on my car is yellow and it goes to the coil.
