You make it sound like a compromise! They look great and fit right in with your theme.
Yeah, the original plan did not call for flares, but things gravitated that way and the pipes are almost a necessity to fill the gap between the flares visually,
and they sure do scream "dont screw with me"
The flares are ACI L-88 style flares, we customized the front ones by getting 2 sets and cutting them in half and rebonding them together. It gave a better fit to the wheel opening and looks more symmetrical
The back flares we used as is, except for notching vents out of the rear corner of them to facilitate both wheel well fit and avoid high speed flutter.
The hood is a 4" L88 unit from vanacor, used as is
The front bumper and spoiler are also from ACI, the rear fin and bumper are the original pieces
The bubble tail lights are from corvette central and are LED units, very cool, very bright!
Great, and thanx for the info. the reason I asked is that every other build with flares I read had to do the same thing by cutting and forming to fit correctly. Yours didn't appear to be chopped so I thought maybe there was another set out there that didn't require the same. Good Job BTW.
mtcraigco, I don't know if your aware of this or not, but Damn that looks bad azz. The car really turned out great. Aren't you running an LS setup? Any photo's of how the engine compartment turned out, even if its not finished?
