Carburetor 454

I have a friend iwth a C3 that has a stock 454 in it (original to car). He would like to keep it stock. NOt sure what came on it originally for a carb. What about replacements? Rebuild kits? Recommendations?

Need more info. Year would help. Auto/manual? Engine code if known?

Generally, the 454's were from 1970 onwards. Most had Quadrajets, some may have had Holleys.

Just got my Qjet rebuilt on my 70 454 and what a difference.I thought about replacing it but am glad i didnt.

All of the Corvette 454s with the exception of the 1971 LS-6 used the Quadrajet (manufactured by either Rochester or Carter).

What year is your friends Corvette? I know of a 7040205 Quadrajet (1970 LS-5 with M-20 or M-21) with a service date that is for sale... Currently on a running car and in very nice condition.
