Silver is a very popular color for all vehicles. I own a silver buick Rainier and when I park in a parking lot I have to really pay attention to where I parked so I can find my silver ride. Sometimes I hit the FOB so I can spot the flashing lights. My personalized license plate is a help also if I want to walk around all silver SUV's to look for it.
Don't get me wrong, silver on a Vette is nice but I like colors which are not seen real often.

The 2003 Electron Blue Vette I just bought really caught my eye. Matter of fact, the owner tried to convince me that this Vette was sold to another buyer and he offered me a 2003 silver with less miles but I insisted the Electron Blue was MINE since I hit buy It Now on Ebay...Long story.

I'm guessing one of the other bidders offered more than the Buy it Now price after the ebay auction ended. I probably should start a Ebay Purchase topic.....

Ah, I think I have decided on Red for my 75- going to get a paint job as soon as I have the money saved :-) until then - fixing the little things... The question is, which red?
Is metalic the way to go? What type of red looks best ?

Default red or silver

I would go with the factory red that was used on the car in 1975. That color is really pretty and origonal to the car that year. If ever you decide to sell origonal colors sell faster than non factory colors. I just had my 76 repainted red and it looks great.

Red, but not just any red. Silver is also nice, but the red has a stronger reflection quality in more light conditions...hopefully, this makes sense to you. Reflections are more pronounced with darker colors.

Regardless, my personal favorite is still yellow. Get what you'd be most happy with...you own the car.

Code 74 was used in 1974 as well.

Why be picky about one? Be different and go silver with a red motion stripe..
