I am installing new carpet in the 1980. My question is for the rear carpet section. Where should the carpet be cut for proper placing of the 2-door rear compartment frame?
Should the carpet be cut over the hump and onto the inner lip of the metal car frame compartments? Should it be lapped over onto the surface of the metal car frame where the screws go through the compartment and into the frame? Or should the carpet end just under the lip of the frame of the ABS plastic compartment frame?
