I have a question about the codes stamped into the rims of our cars. I know that AZ rims are Corvette but what is FW? I had the wheels off of my 75 today to start cleaning them up. Once I removed a few layers of paint, dirt and rust I found the normal K-1 series of numbers then valve stem then number then FW. What car is this from? All four of my wheels have it. Curious.

Heres a few extra notes
All the rally wheels made in 1967 have big marking letters, no date code, a little bit different shaped center and slightly bigger holes in the center
The 15x7 beauty ring will go on all the 15x6 wheels
All the hubcaps interchange with each other.

 

Thanks for that. Can't figure why someone would put 15x7 Rallyes on a Vette.

 

Availability. Previous owner might have run across them at a garage sale; $100 for the four with rings and caps.
