If you are asking about the cowl induction door on the 73-75 hood then the answer is yes. It is mounted to the pedal and is activated by the accelerator pedal at full throttle. The switch also activates the downshift for the TH400 transmission if you have that.

My 73 4 speed has the cowl induction door and it operates correctly. Some remove it or block it permanently open.
