Ontario resident looking for Corvette Speciallty shop for mechanical services. Example:Transmission removed rebuilt, all universals replaced, shafts cleaned balanced and reinstalled. Rear end inspected and new seals. Seek high quality work for a restored vehicle. Heard of few places in the GTA area such as Legendary/Stingray auto, but looking for recomendations and feed back . 1970 coupe

There isnt many places up here that could be considerd corvette specialty shops of true high quality. If Your looking to get someone to do the #'s matching type repairs then there is only two that I know of, that would be detailed enough. One is Legendary Motor cars, the other is RM restoration- they are one of the best in Nort America.

I seen a 70 Z28 that was supposedly from legendary with an automatic? I questioned the owner and legenday with no response. I didn't want the post to be a long one so I had omited that.

I have never heard anything good about Stingray. Try posting in the Canadian section:

None of the specific repairs you've mentioned would require a Corvette specialist shop- any decent old car garage with a grey haired mechanic should be able to do a good job.

I use a "speed shop" in Barrie, On. Ed's Performance, he personally does drag racing and is very capable of doing the work you are asking about. I trust him with my '77. You just need someone who does performance modifications, etc., there may be someone in Oshawa (your car town).
Good Luck
