76E lower radiator hose
Installing crate 383 which has the long water pump. The car has the original radiator but the lower radiator hose which fit the stock engine (short water pump) won't fit. Anyone had this problem? Any replacement hoses which will fit. I need some help cause I'm about to fire this baby up .

I probably should have done that but I already bought and installed new pullys, alternator bracket and shimmed the power steering unit. Do you think a flex hose will work or do you know of any other type of hose that will work. I bought and trimmed a hose made for the stock short waterpump and it seems like it will work other than the fact that it lays on the front cross member. Problem?

Well, the stock hose also lays on the crossmember.
Hope you are using electric fans. The reason that the Corvette stayed with the short water pump when every other Chevy car switched was due to fan to radiator clearance.
