Default Early 76 Dome Light

I have an early 76 where the dome light is "supposed" to be on the back of the tub, not between the t-tops. Does anyone have a picture of the bracket that holds the dome light in place to the rear tub?

Default E 76 dome light

I have an Oct 75, 76. The dome light is on the back wall in the center. I think it has carpet around it. It is a little rectangle light with a snap in cover. I can get you a picture of the dome light if that is what you need. I would guess a 76 AIM would show you how it is mounted. Need a picture and specifically what shot you want?

I would like to see the bracket that mounts to the tub itself. I do have the light, but nothing to mount it too. If you have a way of shooting a pic of that tub without the carpet, that would be great.

Will look and see if I can help. Got a show in 2 weeks and reluctant to start pulling carpet out. Just got the 4sp back in after a clutch replacement.

This is the interior lamp bracket in a 75 rear clip I have in the yard. As you can see, all it is is a flat plate with a rectangular hole cut in it, that's riveted to the rear bulkhead.

This is a pic. from my 72 it is the best pic. I could find. Hopefully it will help.
The second pic. is before I installed the carpet after I installed kool mat. On the second pic. the cut out on the top is where the rubber button goes and the four bright spots is where the plate is riveted from the rear to the inside and I cut it out to get the mat to lay flat.

You should be able to find the four holes that the rivets went thru and make a plate and drill out the hole for the rubber plug.

Got a few photos, I was afraid the carpet was glued, but only fastened with 3 grommets. Mine is a c shaped (or C shaped with an attachment flat on each side) sheet metal channel with a square hole in the middle pop riveted to the back wall.
Hope this helps.

Thank You! That is exactly what I have needed to see what that looked like. The earlier one's do vary as you can tell by the X being present on the tub and they are flat. The early 76 quite a bit differnet.

I appreicate the help!
