Default 1977 A/C Evap Coil Question

I have the replacement steering column, the brake booster, the heater core and a dryer... waiting to gut the dash until I procure a new evaporator coil for the 1977. I find that there is likely a mid-year change in the coils... I believe my car is a "late" production unit as the alarm is tied to the door lock, not the fender, and I have fender flags.

I find listings for cores up to 1977 1/2, and late 1977 to 1982. Without ripping the dash out, then finding, buying and waiting for a core to ship, can someone tell me what to shop for? Thanks!

You change the evap from the engine side, no need to touch the inside except for the one bolt on top of the inside box. Just remove the map pocket panel to access.

If you are running an orifice tube, you have the later style evaporator, you can tell that from the engine side. Make sure you have the proper dryer/accummulator they;re different.
