I'd do my interior in cream or camel instead of red though
I built what I felt (for me) was the ultimate Corvette. Currently for-sale for personal reasons but it's one helluva ride. Not for everyone, but it's a blast.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I feel your pain!
This is one of my favorite pro-touring Covettes, The Roadster Shop built a masterpiece!!!

unless owning a shop, there is hardly one car here in this forum done entirely in the owner's garage....
I'm talking concepts of design and actual execution of the plan....
add to the challenge of it being damn nearly a DD duty car.....
nothing against the OP or the shop doing the work, it's all fine....
but just sayin'....

Joe owned a shop and his Vette was something of a showcase for the capabilities of the shop - nothing wrong with that in my mind. It's an example of the what the C3 can be given a big budget, and their execution of the build was outstanding. The guys that write checks and never turn a wrench yet take credit for a project are the ones that I have limited respect for.I built my frame-off LS1/T56 project in a 1-car garage and the only thing I didn't engineer/restore/replace/fabricate/rebuild myself was the offset shifter plate that I had a friend weld on to the shifter stick. If someone asks me about something at a show I know the exact answer because I did it myself.
My car is something of a stealth resto-mod. It looked like this shortly after arriving:

And it looks like this today:

Rick is correct. The car was built from the ground up entirely by me. Every nut in bolt in my own garage except for the paint which was sprayed by forum member and shop-owner Paulywannafly. I did own my own shop but it was out of my garage part-time. I gave that up as well and I am selling the car for health and personal reasons as I had stated in prior posts here but that's another long unecessary story. My point was that this was what did it for me. As they say and I said to begin with, with custom's it's different strokes for different folks. Like significant others, we all have our own tastes. But they are still C3's.
But this is a garage built hotrod. My garage. Hobbypoor:
The seats and door panels are stock replacement 81 Corvette that I had made up by Corvette America. They will do any color (as will Al Knoch) combo you want so I had them do the seats and door panels (and steering wheel) in Black and C5 Torch Red. I had to draw up design templates for them and they made them from the templates. I designed the dash panels for the new Autometer gauges and had a friend punch them out on a CNC machine for me and I powdercoated them. This made it easier to convert everything from mechanical to electric and stuff 6 gauges in the center panel including boost, vacuum, and fuel pressure.
Ray Y:
The suspension, front and rear, is C4 with a narrowed Dana 44 with 3:90 gears and QA-1 Coilover adjustable shocks. If you look at one of the chassis pictures you will see that the chassis is a tubular SRIII motorsports custom chassis, not stock. It was designed specifically for the engine, tranny, sidepipe, tubbed and narrowed rear combination with C4 Coilover suspension.
Thanks again
ps: I've deleted the pics in my OP and left a link to the pics.

I love a nice interior, Heres the 1 from the black C1
How do you register the car after you swap the frame ? Isnt the VIN on the original frame somewhere ?
I still have the original frame on my 68. Maybe I'll swap it for something newer
There are a number of newer frame options for C3 Corvettes out there. SRIII, StreetShop Inc, and others make a good replacement frame with choice of suspension options. Each has pluses and minuses as far as modifications to the body and costs. If you consider that as an alternative I would just suggest a lot of homework and talking to others. I will tell you that in my case it's an incredible driving experience.
