Default Numbers Help

Hoping for some help in decoding some of the numbers on my '74.

VIN (for reference)
1Z37J4S410527

Block
14510527- I see the last 5 digits match the last 5 of the VIN.

Heads- From inside under rocker covers.
K15 333 882

Could not see any numbers on either end of the cylinder heads. I thought this is where they were located, correct me if i am wrong.

Carb
704 7186
J53.
Says manufactured by Carter for GMC??? Maybe not original?

Rear of block, drivers side
39700

Any help greatly appreciated. Doing some long term planning.

Block is original to car (of course the skeptics will say it could be a restamp).

Head Casting #333882 75cc combustion chamber 1.94 Exhaust valve 1.50 Intake valve1974-80 350/400

Not enough numbers for the block casting number, but you can look it up here:

Thanks for the help and the link, I will bookmark it.

The only other digit I found after the 39700, was another 0. The dial above was pointing at what appeared to be the 10 o'clock position.

Checking the link this is what I came up with.

350 5.7 71-77 H/J/K/L/V V8 OHV; Carb left hand dipstick; 6 bolt exhaust manifold; tapered seat type spark plugs

That's probably it. I just wonder why they list the 6 bolt manifold with the block because it bolts to the head, not the block.
