Default Help

I started restoring my '73 after it sat in garage for 20 years.
I bought new calipers from mid America, used dot 5 silicone.
6 months later when engine was done I tried to test drive and a caliper leaked. Mid replaced it. 6 months again went by while I put in a 4 speed automatic. Tried to test drive this weekend and another caliper leaked. I'm not happy. Any suggestions Mid said out of 1 year warranty sh out of luck. Are the others gonna fail soon. I thought the new O-ring calipers would be better.

Very good write up, only i cannot understand why people do not remove the paint from the mating surfaces of the caliper halves. Seen the same thing on mounting surfaces of disc brakes. It goes against all my believes as a mechanical engineer to mount anything important with anything else than spotlessly clean machined surfaces.
