Rear View Mirror WITH MAP LIGHT
My rear view mirror (with functioning map light) is starting to show it's age. Black spots on the mirror...I guess the silver is coming off the glass in the back. I've been looking and looking for a new mirror with a map light but can't seem to locate one at any of the Corvette vendors...and the one's I can find on ebay...well, they're in worst shape than mine. Where can a person get one? OR if I'm destined to fix it... Can you just replace the mirror? If so, how do you detach the mirror from the housing? Is there a certain kind of mirror? etc etc etc

If the rest of the mirror is ok, you can just replace the glass, it is available from most of the parts guys. You can also get the original sticker. If you do it that way, while you have it apart you could repaint it, put in a new bulb, then it will look like new again. I did mine that way, for my 73.
