motor stand options
Can anyone direct me to a source for a motor stand that has 4 vertical post to hold a motor?
I have a stand that holds from the back of the block.
I am looking for one that attaches at the motor mounts and also the rear of the block

Google "chevy engine cradle". If you don't like what you see, I've got a couple of old (discontinued AFAIK) Moroso engine cradles that attach to the block at the mount bolts and top two bell bolts, which if you're handy with a welder wouldn't take much to duplicate. Let me know if you want pics. FYI, cradles are typically low to the ground, if that matters.

I bought a BB engine cradle at Northern Tool for $44 and then modified the rear brackets so that the clutch, bellhousing and transmission could be attached.
