Could any one tell me if it is possible to replace a Chevy 350 two piece rear crank seal without removing the crankshaft drop the oil pan and remove rear bearing lower cap only

Sure you can. Remove the oil pan and oil pump and then remove the lower cap. The upper seal can then be pushed out. When installing they usually give you a little tool kind of like a shoehorn to get the seal started back in the upper half. You have to work it back in the upper half. Even if yo uhave to remove the other bearing caps to slightly lower the crank to get better access to the seal you do not have to remove the crank. Most of the time you can push it out with a little effort.

remove oil pan, oil pump and rear main cap

use a small pick or screw driver to slide the seal out (be extra careful not to touch the shiny part of crank known as the journal with the screwdriver)

replace with the lip to the front of the car.
