What's really cool is to use the cones that cover the ugly lugs for a knock off wheel look...

I have bought many things from the above outfit they are great!!!
the ones that i have are indeed rare. less than 200 sets ever made by ecklers. they use the actual c2 knock off spinners and they have an adapter kit to go with it. very few still out there

I guess I misunderstood you in that I thought you had used C2 knock off adapters to hold spinners...
So you are saying Ecklers made Western wheels made to have lugs into a pseudo knock off wheel like the C2's had....Ecklers might have farmed it out or made a kit they never made wheels....did anyone DOT and safety test the wheels?

I can see it working....the c2's had what I called fake knock offs because they still bolt to the rotor so then any wheel that you could machine the center to the right size or already was the right size might work...except for one little....rat hair in the tuna salad....can you guess?

After another look at yours, I am assuming the reason the rears look deeper is the rear wheel is deeper? the fronts spinner to me look too far out.... the front and rears should match in spinner depth...and be inside not even with the outer rim...in other words your rears look better to me....but that is just me,

Very rare...I give you that but my point was the same look can be had very easy and cheap...

I believe that in some cases you will get the exact make and model of an aftermarket wheel but in this case with so many companies offering their version of a "turbine" style wheel some might be very hard to nail down....
Why not post the style you like best and then narrow it down that way....

They rusted like crazy. This is my dad's 1976 trans am in the early-mid 80's. Door already started to rust....

Yep...and the doors were really heavy and the hinges sagged way fast they the doors didnt close right and chipped things all up,

I did my first radical custom on a 78 Camaro, I hand built steel L-88 style flares and Iroc style front cow catcher, hand made a 'glass whale tial like Herb addams was selling at the time...mine was wider and tackyier,
I did this weird double stacked L-88 scoop, panted the thing in real candy metal flake that had colors that made it look like a dog puked up skittles...at the time it stole the shows....

I had a '77 T/A, bought it brand new in the fall of '76 and kept it until the summer of '01, when I traded it for an '01 C-5. Even though I never drove the T/A in the winter, I still had some rust problems with the hood and RR quarter panel. No, they weren't built all that well, back then....

BTW, at least to me, the wheels on the T/A pictured in post #29, lookk like the same wheels in picture #2, of post #1.

not saying they made the wheels, just the adapters. and yes the back wheel is deeper than the fron wheel, but it looks ok. the angle of the pic that i posted makes it look a little "out of balance" but in person it looks good. ive never seen anyone else in person that has this kit.

Jeff

I finally put the rims on and there is a problem, they hit the calipers just slightly. what should I do, grind them down a little or go to a 3/16 spacer? The backspace was 3 3/4 not 4 as the guy had told me.
