I have a 1978 Vette that doesn’t have any way to store the T-Tops inside the car. Are there any good systems out there that work well for this? Enjoy going for cruses through the hills topless but the weather changes. What I do now is place them on top of each other with a blanket between them for protection. It works but would like something a little more organized. Pictures of what you have would be great if not too much trouble.
Most of the corvette stores carry bags/pouches to store the tops in. There is supposed to be a belt that secures them in the back. The belt is shaped like a Y.
Mine came with two naughahyde flat bags with flaps that close with Velcro. You can store both bags and tops in the back under the y shaped strap but it does close off access to the drop boxes. I generally store mine in the garage on a shelf in their bag. Only drive it on good weather days anyway.
I store both of mine in the cargo area in the bags everyone else mentioned. I also have large subwoofer box that takes up a lot of room, but I slide the tops in on top of it, and under hte cargo cover. I always have the cargo cover drawn.
For the first 11 years I just threw them in the back , or stapped the bag 'o tops on the luggage rack.. Then I bought the brackets that mount to the rack and the tops live there now... Never use them but carry them just in case...
