Default Rear Glass Installation Help

I am ready to install the rear glass on my 75 coupe and would like to know what steps I need to take. I have the butyl tape and read on the box where it recomends a sealer. The AIM does not show the sealer so is it best to use only the butyl tape or both?

Also, is it necessary to use the pinchweld primer before installing?

Thanks for the help.

The sealer is usually used to run a small bead of it around the glass after you have installed it with the tape. It seals any imperfections with the tape and to insure a better water tight seal. Always used primer on metal surfaces but just be sure your surface on the body is clean and free from any old tape or sealer. Primer should not cause any issues--use it.
