Default grounding ?

should there be some sort of ground strap on the steering coupler?Recently replaced rag joint and did not see one however my horn has sense quit working.Would this be related? Thanks for any and all feedback.

Yhe horn gets its ground path through the mount under the dash. Pull the horn button and locate the black wire and use a jumper wire to one of the bolts on the underside of the steering column.If it works that should tell you if its a button problem, if not keep going and look at the horn and relay

Put a jumper across the rag joint and test the theory. The path to ground for the horn relay comes up the black wire through the switch into the steering shaft and down through the steering gear.

If its connected by a ujoint I would think it would be OK.

Steeroids uses u-joints.

I dug out an old rag joint and took a pic today to show the metal screen that passes the ground from stud to stud and then down through the gear.
