Default Flywheel mounting question

I am going to be using gm part number 14088764 bolts to install a flywheel on my HT383. The bolts didn't come with the "star" shaped locking washers that some flywheels are installed with and the build sheet for the engine does not specify any. Does anyone know if these are necessary or preferred? If so, are they fairly easy to get at the parts store? What have any of you guys used to make sure your flywheel doesn't fly off?? Thanks!

I just had the flywheel off of my Jeep and it didn't have any washers. The flywheel bolts were just torqued to 105 fl/lb.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I have since found that I have another flywheel question.... The flywheel I have is 14" in diameter and I plan on mounting it to a small stall converter on a TH350. The bolt holes line up. Is that all I need to be concerned about as far as matching the flywheel to the transmission? The motor I have calls for an externally balanced flywheel, which mine is. Thanks again!

You do not have a flywheel, you have a flex plate. Flywheels are only for standard transmissions, NOT AUTOMATICS!

As long as the holes line up you are good.

Thanks, I guess. I was using GM's terminology from their build sheet for part number (14088765).
