Back in '85 I found a mid-year done like that with A model front and pick up rear. WAY before rat rods, the guy had wrecked his car, and just bolted the sheet metal on it to drive. When I found it, it had been sitting for about 10 years, and the guys dad told me I could have it for $300. (Still Vette frame and drive train, interior) I went for the money, and 2 hrs later, on my way back, I passed it on a trailer. What's the odds of two people finding the same car, the same day, in the back woods of Ohio? Sheeesh....

The grafted front end is probably worth more than the whole car.

If this is the car from the ad it should be called the "Bat Rod Corvette". It needs a few more ducts, you know, to add some lightness.

I think maybe it needs some wood-spoke wheels to go with its running-boards...

Amazingly, the worst part is not the body, but the fact that it seems to be sitting on a front-wheel drive Toronado chassis.
