Paint job looks great. Just a word of warning, I don't think goodyear has made those tires in years, so therefore, it could be that you are riding on dangerously old tires. Sadly if one of those tires blows on one of our cars, for instance on the interstate, it usually takes a fender with it. Not trying to rain on your parade, and I could be way off, but just wanted to give you a heads up. Again, the car looks awesome!!

C3 4ME, GOOD EYES, You are right on all counts! The tires are my body shop /winter storage tires as the car has been in the body shop the last 3 of 4 weeks and will be going to it's winter quarters this week. The GT2'S will go on in the spring unless we have a mild winter which does not look probable due to the recent weather!

I was looking at white or silver cars because this cars job was to be driven often. When I saw this color I knew I had to have it. While the paint will never "pop" like a freshly detailed black or red car, it stays looking great for a long time. My black car shows dust , or pollen or water marks all the time. This blue once washed looks great for a long time, even after a rain shower which happens often in New England !
I've driven it every day including today, it was 18*F this morning. Gonna snow pretty soon though and its going into a heated aircraft hanger for the duration.
She is beautiful, I really like the color. Couple of questions is that an OEM front bumper or fiberglass. I am looking at having my 73 repainted this winter and was wondering if you would mind sharing the cost of the paint job and exactly what prep the you did and what prep the body shop did.

First thank-you for the compliments. The front bumper is OEM. I have 2 other threads "TO PAINT OR NOT" AND "TO PAINT OR NOT PART 2" in this section which detail the prep ,cost, etc. There are also pictures, check them out. You will need to search back to about the 1st or second week of Nov. Let me know if these don't answer all your questions !

I went w/ the lowest bidder on this project because the car is meant to be a driver and I already have a garage queen show car. With the wet sand or color sand I went w/ the best guy in my area and this was surprisingly inexpensive, $225. This choice made all my knowledgeable friends think I paid 2 or 3 times what I actually paid. The only question left is how long it will holdup but I am not worried and shop gave me a 5 yr. guarantee and the owner has an excellent rep for honoring his word. He has lots of repeat customers and has been in business for 24 yrs. or so.
