Default Head questions?

I have a '72 roadster which is a high option/low hp car. It has a 350/200hp, mated to a (suprisingly) Turbo 400 & a 3:08 FDR. Does anyone have any idea what head would have come on that motor re: intake/exhaust vavle size? I pulled it at 50K, & put in a stroker 383, I have to assume that motor will have 2.02/1.60 heads, right? It was a crate motor rated at 415 or 425hp. Please chime in.

It has the smaller valve heads but valve size is not the only measure. Flow and chamber size intake port volume and other parameters are best to measure by now. 2.02 intake valve heads are all very common now but different heads using similar valves can flow very different numbers. So don't go by valve size. The heads on your original motor are terrible by todays standards. They make good door stops now.

What I am thinking is restoring & putting back in original motor, but rebuild it w/ some power. So the proper low end build w/ the heads of the 383 or better yet an aftermarket alum. (i.e. edelbrock). Not looking to win awards for originality but rather have a #'s matching car w/ some power, but nothing crazy, & keep it pretty much bone stock visably from exterior.

Your choice but if you are going to run aftermarket heads who cares about numbers matching. 99% of the people looking at the car have no idea what numbers matching means or where to look for it. The 350 will never match the power of the 383. Why not dress up the 383 to look like the original and leave it in the car. Keep the original in the bag and run the 383.
The cost to have the original heads redone will most likely exceed what a good set of newer heads cost and they will never flow like a new set of heads. If you are staying with the NCRS crowd then you have no choice.
