It's definition depends on what the seller has to sell or a buyer is looking for. Any term which will translate directly into market value will have an interpretation dependent on what is being sold.

I personally think the NCRS avoids this term for good reason. IMO the NCRS system for evaluation makes more sense, not tethered to market interests...

That pretty much matches my definition of "matching numbers". Except you left out patina.

The patina has to match.
