Reverse Lights?

Hey there, sorry if this has already been covered. But my reverse lights wont turn on when i go into reverse. The fuse is good, fuse box is getting power, and the bulbs are brand new. I was thinking it could be something wrong with the Neutral Safety Switch. Are the wires for the reverse lights in the cluster from the NSS? I need help with this as soon as possible. I cant figure it out exactly. If it is with the NSS where is it located and what is the easiest way to get at it?

Sorry im new to this, its my first corvette so im a bit dumb when it comes to this particular car haha.

I assume it's an automatic. The neutral safety switch is under the console attached to the gear shift.

Yes its an auto. But thanks hopefully i can figure out the problem.

Don't know how a '79 is wired, but don't overlook the simple stuff like a bad ground at the lights. Lots of electrical problems have been traced to a bad ground.

Thats were I found mine, leading into the back of the light socket. Won't hurt to check it out.
