Has anyone ever had to change the, gas sending unit? My gas needle stop working.
The fuel sending unit is a fairly easy thing to change, but if your fuel guage is not working, it could be the fuel guage itself that is bad. Or it could even be something as simple as a bad ground. Best to do a little troubleshooting before you swap out the fuel sending unit. (Just don't ask me for the proper sequence and procedure for troubleshooting.. )
Whatever you do regarding ground, sending unit etc, make sure you undo your battery first. I made matter worse one time and did not take off the positive and ended up frying the sending unit, when the original problem was a dirty ground contact. Ugh!!!
