Default Door panels

Hey guys... What's a good deal for a new set of basic door panels for a 74/75? And if it's a good deal with they fit on a 77? I looked at mine and theirs looks the same, only thing I don't see the screw holes to screw them to the door, the body shop said they glued them on those years. If I can pick them up for $350 is that a good deal? They are the wrong color but I thought about dying them the right color.

Door panels are good from 70-77, if they are new, with no trim as you say, they are just basic, repops go for about $230.00 each. You should be able to talk him down a little more, just tell him you can get them new in the color you want for just a few more dollars, and not have to dye them. Good luck.

Can someone post some pix of their 75/76 doors then a 77? Mine has screw holes and these don't. Done like you told me and he came down to $150 for both. Mine has two metal brackets that helps hold the door on and these don't have those.. Is that someone you have to add to basic doors? I think i should be able to get my deluxe moldings off mine and reuse them.

My '76 has the two silver screws but my '74 does not. I don't recall whether the '74 has the black metal clip with the black screw but the '76 has it.

See my 77 is just like yours Mike... But if I could dye these and make them work $150 is a good deal i think... Wonder what i'd have to do to make them fit? Plus has anyone pulled off all the deluxe stuff and put it on the basic panel?

Your bodyman is not correct. The door panels were not glued on. The inner moisture barrier (separate clear vinyl) was glued on. Ims has shown the bottom rear clip and there is one at the front also. The upper screws were typical as well. You can see the mount points on the door frame underneath. As well there are velcro fasteners around the perimeter of the panel and frame.

My panels snugged up very nicely without the upper screws so I did not use them.

Can you dye the panels? Certainly. As long as you prep properly and use an interior vinyl dye, not a paint. My local AC Delco dealer mixes up the dye for me using 1974 GM code 425 (dark red/oxblood).

Yours looks great after dying them red.. What's the wing nut screws for? They have new velcro clips with them, just no places to screw them on.. It's got the slots on the back for the HW to screw them to the doors, just no HW...

I went down there today and low and behold he had malware on his PC and was on the phone to someone over in China, He could not understand one word the guy was trying to tell him how to fix it... Told him i'd make him a deal and i'd fix his PC if he'd give me those panels... I worked about 45 minutes downing malwarebytes and running stinger to fix the issue... He was tickelled to death so he gave them to me... I started talking and his wife and him had just bought an old farm house, well guess what's sitting back there? All kinds of Corvette parts... He also gave me a set of Corvette ralleys with Centers and Bands, Stingray emblem. He's going to get a list of all the parts and he said he'd make someone a good deal if they needed them.. I'll keep everyone posted
