Lots depends on rear gear ratio, how hard you drive it etc...
I've got a 3.08 rear, hurst shifter and M-20 tranny, and @ 60 mph the engine rpm's are at 2,300.
I estimate around 15-17 mpg highway.

I have a ZZ502, M-20 trans and a 3.55 rear. If I drove it delicately it would get 12 mpg. I changed the rear to a 3.08 but don't expect the mileage to change much.

It will be interesting to see how many people are smiling this summer when gas is $5.00 a gallon.

As of today, $5.09 per gallon here in Regina, Sask, Canada - not smiling.

These cars were built when gas was 75 cents a gallon. They were not built for mpg.I think the only real way to get any kind of mpg is to move up to a more modern drive train.Fuel injection and at least a 5spd.The problem is you can buy a lot of gas for the price of the up grade and I dont drive it enought to justify cost.I would rather keep it simple to maintain.I dont drink or smoke so the money I save more than pays for the gas.Heck I might even live long enough to die from obama care.
