I see the 68 BB black on black convertible is up again on ebay. 2 days left and a bid over $28,000. It makes me feel real good about mine 68 BB SURVIVOR.

Your 68 is a true survivor in every sense of the word, the black 68 on ebay is more of resto candidate than it is a survivor. That black 68 has been on ebay quite a few times and always ends at about 28-29k.
Thanks for the compliment. It looks like we'll have to come up with a new scale to determine where does it tip from being a resto candidate or a potential SURVIVOR.

I think NCRS and Bloomington already beat you to punch on that one.
Based on how rusty everything is in the pictures the frame and suspension must be pretty bad. If it is as "solid" as he claims in the add why not show some photos?
That car is closer to a barn find than a Survivor or Bowtie candidate, unless they award points for rust. What it evidently survived is being ignored for 43 years and left out in the elements. How much work is it to just keep a car clean and relatively free of humidity? I cannot believe people own these cars and just shove them in a corner somewhere, expecting to sell them for a bundle sometime in the future.
My car was in better shape than that when I bought it but as far as I was concerned, still needed to be restored. I understand BG and NCRS judges love to see unrestored cars in order to update their knowledge base. Fine, let them fork out the cash and then shove 'em back in the barn. Sooner or later though, somebody is going to either want to or have to clean up all that rust. They only get worse with age.
Just curious: they received the order for your car near the end of November and were tentatively setting a finish date near the end of December. What's her actual Time/Build date?
Mike, the build date is January 22 (F22), 1968 as represented on the trim tag.
