Default brakes

i recently bought my 76 and have had problems with the brakes. I have heard calipers need to be the same brand the front two and the rear two match is that true. Thanks

Define "same". Fronts and rears are different.

You can replace a single caliper at any corner of the car without having to replace the one opposite it. Front and rear calipers are not interchangeable.

If you do a search on brakes you will find enough reading material to keep you busy until Summer.
