77 speedo
I have a 77 and the speedo is jumpy, and will stick on occasion, as in not drop back down to 0 when car is stopped. Is a good cleaning of the internals of the actual speedo in order, or should I look at the cable/gear at the tranny?

Do you have cruise control? I would first try unhooking the speedo cable from the cruise control unit and try lubing the cable on both sides of the cruise transducer and not tightening the connections any more than finger tight and I would also check and reseat the connector on the transmission also. Any binding of the conduit that the cable goes thru will cause what you are talking about.
