Default I have your 72 LT1 engine

I bought this 72 Corvette LT1 and it did not have the orig motor. I have for sale this motor , it came from car vin # 21494 if you own this car let me know maybe we can make a deal on it. It is a real LT1 engine with the CKY suffix code Only looking to sell to the owner of the car with this vin

Paul, that is a very generous thing to do. If the owner of the car sees this he can increase the value of the car tremendously by fitting the original engine. Hope the engine didn't come out of a wreck.

Don't know if you have seen some of my threads but that 73 frame is back on the road after 3-1/2 years.

That is a most generous offer, I was lucky enough to find the original block for my Lt-1/Zr-1 through this forum about 10 yrs. ago. My vette had originally been raced so parts and engines would come and go on a regular basis.

There's a story here. You have a 72 LT-1 with an incorrect engine, but an LT-1 out of #21494. Wonder where #21494 has gotten to and what was going on at the time of the engine swap?

I hope this works out for someone. There was an awesome thread about something like this last year... I think in the C2 section... CF member posted a craigslist ad about a motor, owner of the car was a CF member and got his engine then like a week later craigslist ad was posted and his transmission was found... car owner got them both. AWESOME

So your car used to be an LT1.
You want to sell the motor to the owner of the car it came out of.
What are you planning to replace it with?
Is this a parts car?

My car is a real 72 LT1 also and is quite nice I will just build a LT1 clone cause it doesnt mater non matching #s is all the same . I actually have a 467 ci big block in it right now and the LT1 is on a stand The BB has all brodix top end and is more of a drag car motor I will sell both engines and have plenty of money left over

I didn't know where you were coming from when you said "wrong number is wrong # even if it is one off". I've read some postings which say once the original motor is gone it's no longer real, a fake. I've never bought into that mindset, it's fake only if it were presented as having all 'original' parts. More a case of a restoration.

If you have the engine, then is it likely that the original car was totalled?
