There is no correct fixed mast antenna available for your 80 Corvette.

The antenna mast, nut and gasket are the same, for all 69-82's, but the bezels are different. The Corvette parts book shows different bezels for 68, 69-73, 74-77 coupe, 74-75 convertible and 78 up. The differences between the 69-77 bezels are minor, but the 78-82 bezel is completely different. Most vendors advertise what they call a 69-82 antenna bezel, but it really only fits the 69-77 body correctly.

The 68-77 body is sloped where the antenna mounts. Because of the power antenna offered from 78-82, the rear body was changed in 78, to add a flat indent where the antenna mounts. For use with this indent, the angled bezels used from 69-77, were replaced with a smaller bezel, that sat down in the flat indent. The correct bezel is no longer available from Chevrolet, and it has not been repro-ed.

You should be able to make the 69-77 bezel work, by removing the locating pin, but it won't be correct.

Thank you for the detailed response. I will try removing the locating pin, but that is my problem. Antenna would be at an angle instead of straight up as it should be.

Sometimes you can find the black gasket that goes in between the body and chrome base in different tapered sizes to straighten up the antenna.

Well, I cut and filed off the pin, but there is no way the nut can reach the threads to screw everything together with the bezel on. I can get it on without the bezel, but it's not a tight fit. Any aftermarket options that will at least work and fit securely to the body?
